Most recently Michael held the position of Executive Vice President ? Lowe Destination Development, Inc. and as a shareholder, Lowe Enterprises, Inc. he was responsible for Lowe Destination Development's resort and condominium hotel development program comprised of five active projects totaling in excess of one billion dollars. These projects ranged from new developments to conversion and infill projects within new and existing resort communities.
Michael joined Lowe Enterprises and moved to Coronado with their acquisition of the Hotel del Coronado in 1997. There he served as Vice President and Managing Director. At "The Del", Michael directed the marketing and operations of the landmark resort.In addition, he was responsible for the development and implementation of restoration and preservation plans for the 115-year-old Victorian building and surrounding grounds. The plan, completed in 2001, represented an investment in excess of 70 million dollars. In addition, his responsibilities included the design, development and entitlement process for a master plan to expand and further enhance the resort. That plan was approved and entitled in 2002. Lowe Enterprises sold the hotel in 2003.
Prior to Lowe Enterprises Michael served as Senior Vice President of Tishman Hotel Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tishman Realty and Construction, NY.Based in Orlando, Florida, Michael was responsible for operations and marketing of luxury hotel and resort properties in the Southeast, Caribbean, the Western U.S. and Hawaii.
